Welcome to Every Little Book!
As a mom of 3, and lifetime student, I am always reading. Doing a quick Google search, I found a mountain of children’s books and blogs that feature diverse main characters. Learning about other cultures is great but nothing beats being able to closely identify with the story lead. Stories featuring brown girls with big hair has become an important tool in my tool box when it comes to teaching self love and increased self esteem to my girls.
I decided to do my part and feature great stories across all cultures by authors I love and authors I want to get familiar with. I hope to spark discussions on literacy and family. I believe fostering a love of reading starts at home and spreading the word about the many great books out here is something we all can participate in!
